Kariobangi Sharks and AFC Leopards have advanced to the Mozzart Bet Cup semi-finals following their respective victories of 1-0 and 3-1 in the quarterfinal clashes held on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Dandora Stadium.

Kariobangi Sharks secured their spot with a single goal scored by John Mark Makwatta in the 32nd minute when Stephen Bwire found him with a pass in the box.

Additionally, Steve Biko’s exceptional performance earned him the Man of the Match award and a cash prize of Kshs 100,000, which he generously pledged to donate to charity.

On the other hand, AFC Leopards faced an early setback when Philip Simiyu scored within the first minute for Compel. However, Kayci Odhiambo’s headed in an equalizer in the 28th minute setting the stage for a comeback.

Arthur Gitego’s brace, with goals in the 44th and 61st minutes, sealed the victory for AFC Leopards. Kaycie Odhiambo was recognized as the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.

This sets up an all FKF Premier League clubs semi final showdown with Kariobangi Sharks to face KCB as AFC Leopards gears up to play against Kenya Police.

They move one step closer to claiming the coveted Mozzart Bet Cup trophy, a cash prize of Kshs 2 million, and earning a spot in the prestigious CAF Confederation Cup.
