Vihiga Queens are not new to the FKF Women Premier League trophy, and have been favorites at the top in almost every season. However, the not so new kids on the block, Kenya Police Bullets are sitting pretty at the top six points clear of Vihiga Queens in this 2023/24 season.
The unbeaten Kenya Police Bullets flaunt an impressive record of 13 wins out of 17 matches, with only 4 draws. Vihiga Queens, meanwhile, have suffered just one defeat, courtesy of their current arch-rivals, Kenya Police Bullets, in a tightly contested match, in the second leg , at Police Sacco Stadium that ended 1-0.
At this juncture, neither team can afford a misstep in their final three matchdays; a stumble could dash their title aspirations faster than a bolt of lightning, quite literally.
Golden Boot Race
In the Golden Boot race, the rivalry is just as fierce. Purity Alukwe of Kenya Police Bullets leads the pack with 14 goals, closely trailed by Tumaini Waliaula of Vihiga Queens with 12 goals this season.
