Junior Starlets head coach, Mildred Cheche, has called up 35 players in preparation for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, scheduled to take place in the Dominican Republic from October 16th to November 3rd, 2024.

They will begin their World Cup campaign with a match against England on October 18th, 2024. Just two days later, they will face Korea DPR, before concluding their group stage fixtures on October 24th with a game against Mexico.

The players are expected to report to camp on Saturday, August 24th, 2024, where they will train for 17 days. Following this initial camp, the team will travel to Spain on September 10th for an extended training period, continuing their preparations until they depart for the Dominican Republic on October 1st, 2024.

This marks the Junior Starlets’ debut on the global stage, making them the first Kenyan football team to reach such a prestigious level in international competitions.
