30 coaches have begun their CAF C coaching course today, Monday, November 4, 2024, in Buruburu.
Among the participants are former Gor Mahia players Edwin Lavatsa and Ali Hassan, Mathare’s Paul Ochieng, and KCB’s Warambo Bethwell, all of whom are eager to leverage their experience to support budding talent in Kenyan football.
Lavatsa, currently serving as assistant coach for Kibera Blackstars, shared his enthusiasm for the opportunity: “It was my exit plan to transition from playing to coaching because from my playing experience I felt like when I coach maybe I will do better FKF has provided us a platform to get the knowledge that we need to help progress football and will also help me fulfill my objective in coaching.”
The month-long course is led by CAF instructors George Mwangi and Musa Otieno.
