Junior Starlets Head Coach Mildred Cheche has named her starting lineup for the team’s third and final FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup group stage match against Mexico, set for October 24, 2024, at the Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez stadium in the Dominican Republic.

Velma Abwire will once again command the goal, while the defense sees two key changes. Quinter Odiwuor and Kimberly Akinyi step in for Lorine Ilavonga and Diana Anyango, joining Captain Elizabeth Ochaka and Christine Adhiambo to form a refreshed backline.

In midfield, Halima Imbachi, Pearl Olesi, and Joan Ogola will take control, providing creativity and structure in the heart of pitch.

Upfront, the attacking trio of Lorna Faith, Valerie Nekesa, and Marion Serenge will lead the charge, aiming to break through Mexico’s defense and generate scoring opportunities.

The match kicks off at 2 pm EAT as the Junior Starlets look to make a statement in their final group stage game and finish the tournament strong.
