The FKF Leagues and Competitions Committee, having reviewed the protest lodged by Ulinzi Starlets FC before the match in regards to the eligibility of one of the players fielded during the match, Bertha Omita, along with the reports provided by Zetech Sparks and the match officials, has made the following findings and decisions regarding FKF Women Premier League Match No. 86 Ulinzi Starlets and Zetech Sparks played on 8th March, 2025 at the Ruaraka Grounds:
- THAT the player’s transfer to Zetech Sparks FC was not finalized prior to the mentioned league match.
- Zetech Sparks FC did not present Bertha Omita’s FKF license for verification before the match.
- From the Referee’s Report, the mentioned player appears in the team sheet. However, no license number has been indicated for the player.
- THAT Art. 3.8.3 of the FKF Regulations provides that player(s) whose license cannot be presented by club officials at the time of inspection, shall be ineligible to play in the respective FKF Competition.
LCC DECISION
- THAT Zetech Sparks FC violated Art. 3.8.1 of the FKF Regulations by fielding a player without a valid license.
- Consequently, and in line with Art. 3.8.4 of the Regulations, Zetech Sparks FC are found guilty of this offence and shall forfeit the match which shall be awarded to Ulinzi Starlets FC.
