Posta Rangers have secured their place in the FKF Premier League for the 2025/26 season after overcoming Naivas FC 2-1 on aggregate in the two-legged promotion/relegation playoff.

The mailmen laid the foundation for survival in the first leg played at Thika Stadium, where they displayed dominance and urgency to claim a 2-0 win. Both goals scored by stiker Felix Ochieng.

In the second leg, staged at the SportPesa Arena in Murang’a, Naivas came out fighting and managed to nick a 1-0 victory courtesy of a second minute strike by Mark Vivan. Despite the spirited effort from the second-tier side, it wasn’t enough to overturn the deficit, as Posta Rangers held firm to seal a 2-1 win on aggregate.

The result means Posta Rangers will feature in the top-flight next season, having narrowly avoided relegation after finishing 16th in the 2024/25 FKF Premier League standings.

For Naivas, the wait for top-tier football continues, but their performance across the season and in the playoff is sure to provide motivation ahead of the new National Super League campaign.
