The National Women Football Team, Harambee Starlets, has qualified for the second round of the Africa Women Cup of Nations Qualifiers.

This follows Starlets’ barren draw against Uganda in a match played on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at the Startimes Stadium in Lugogo, Uganda.

Kenya had earlier on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, won the first leg 1-0 in Machakos, courtesy of a long-range strike by right-back Lilian Adera.

The team has consequently booked a date with Equatorial Guinea in the second and final qualifying round, set to be played between June 4, and June 12, 2018.

Kenya made a maiden appearance at the 2016 showpiece in Cameroon, bowing out in the first round at the hands of Ghana, Mali, and Nigeria.
