Football Kenya Federation has successfully completed the first round of CAF C License coaching courses which kicked off on September 2, 2019.
The courses, which ended on October 4, 2019, were held in Eldoret, Nakuru and Thika, under the tutelage of instructors George Ondula, Twahir Muhiddin and Leonard Saleh. 90 participants were trained and duly certified.
This ushered in the second round of courses, which will involve participants from the Nairobi region, Western, Nyanza and Eastern region at the Goan Institute (Nairobi), Catholic University Kisumu (Western and Nyanza) and the Machakos Social Hall (Eastern).

“We have in the past three years actively trained coaches in the Basic/Advanced and CAF C Level, for free,” said FKF President Nick Mwendwa.
“As a Federation, we believe that this will go a long way in ensuring that youth players at the grassroots are not only handled by qualified personnel but has also helped bridged a capacity gap that had denied coaches job opportunities both home and abroad,” he added.

Round two of the courses kicked off on October 7, 2019, and are expected to end on November 1, 2019, with 180 coaches, who had earlier on taken up the Basic and Advanced Coaching Course offered free of charge by the Federation, set to benefit.
The FKF Technical Department has in the meantime, lined up two courses for its instructors, a first of its kind. The first will be held between December 9, and December 13, 2019, for Basic/Advanced Course instructors, while the second will be held between December 16, and December 20, 2019, for CAF C License instructors.
