Uganda held Ethiopia to a 1-1 draw to consequently dump the latter out of the 2017 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup in a match played on Sunday, December 10, 2017, at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega.

Sani Abdela had given Ethiopia the lead in the first half from close range before Derrick Nsibambi levelled the scores with five minutes left on the clock, despite Uganda being a man down.

The draw was enough to guarantee Uganda a slot in the semifinals alongside Burundi, who are set to play South Sudan in the final Group B match on Monday, December 11, 2017, in Kakamega.
