Kenya played out a 1-1 draw with defending champions Tanzania in her second match of the 2018 CECAFA Women Championships. The match was played on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at the Stade Regional Nyamirambo in Kigali, Rwanda.

Tanzania was the first on the scoresheet courtesy of a curling shot from the left flank by Daniel Donisia in the 13th minute. The lead only lasted seven minutes, however, with Mwanahalima Adam’s notching an equalizer straight from a corner kick. Starlets efforts to snatch a winning goal failed to bear fruits, with the defending champions holding tight to see both sides come out with a share of the spoils.

Kenya had earlier on Thursday, July 19, 2018, lost 1-0 to Uganda in the opening match of the tournament. Up next for the Starlets is a match against Ethiopia on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, before wrapping up the five-nation tourney against hosts Rwanda on Friday, July 27, 2018.
