Chapa Dimba: All set for Eastern Region finals

    The Chapa Dimba na Safaricom Tournament will head to the Moi Stadium in Embu this coming weekend for the Eastern Region finals.

    Girls’ semifinals

    Saku Queens from Marsabit will tackle Karugwa Queens in the first girls’ semifinal on Saturday 25th November from 8.30 am while Sildan Soccer Academy from Tharaka Nithi will tackle Ngakaa Talent Academy from Makueni in the second semifinal at the same venue.

    Boys semifinals

    Taqwa from Isiolo and Yatte FC from Embu will fight it out in the first boys’ semifinal on Saturday at the same venue from 12. 30 pm.  Mwingi Junior Academy will face Betiye from Moyale in the second boys’ final from 2.30 pm.

    The finals will be played at the same venue on Sunday 26th November. The winners in both categories (boys and girls) will represent the region in the National finals set for March next year in Nairobi.

    Tournament Director Chris Amimo says; “This is the second regional final and we anticipate quality football. In the picture are teams from Marsabit and Moyale and they came as unknowns which should create quite some excitement. We look forward to a good tournament in Embu.”

    Coast Region will also host preliminary matches this weekend (Saturday 25th – Sunday 26th November) across different venues.
