The FKF Division One League kicks off on Saturday, January 12, 2019, with 16 matches lined up across different venues.

Like in 2018, the 2019 season has been grouped into two zones, Zone A and Zone B. Each zone will, however, comprise of 16 teams each, an increase from 14 teams last season.

Fortune Sacco and Eldoret Youth came out top of Zone A and Zone B last season and consequently gained promotion to the second tier FKF National Super League. Shabana was also promoted to the NSL after edging out Mwatate United in the playoff.

Commercial, Savannah Cement, Griffin, and Nyakach United, meanwhile, were relegated to the Division Two League. Their place has since been taken up by Kilifi All-Stars, Buruburu Sports, Nunguni Yulu, Muranga Seal, Vapor Sports, Bungoma Superstars, APS Bomet, Zoo Youth and Busia Wolves.
