The National U17 football team is set to face Djibouti in her second match of the Africa U17 Cup of Nations CECAFA Region Qualifying tournament on Friday, August 17, 2018, at the Azam Sports Complex in Chamazi, Tanzania, starting at 5 pm.

Kenya kicked off her campaign with a 4-0 win over South Sudan on Tuesday and will be out to get a positive result against Djibouti. Keith Imbali, Telvin Maina, Mathew Mwendwa and Nicholas Omondi were on target.

The Junior Stars will next face Uganda on Sunday, before winding up their Group B matches against Ethiopia on Wednesday, August 22, 2018.

Kenya will seek to make a maiden appearance at the Africa U17 Cup of Nations slated for May 2019 in Tanzania. The winner of the tournament will thus gain qualification to the junior continental showpiece next year alongside Tanzania, who qualify automatically by virtue of being the hosts.
