Football Kenya Federation has on Monday, March 18, 2019, activated a two-day FIFA Domestic Transfer Matching System (DTMS) workshop at the Strathmore Business School.
DTMS, the domestic version of the International Transfer Matching System (ITMS), provides the Federation and its affiliate clubs the ability to manage national and international transfers of male and female football players.
The system, which has been integrated with the ITMS, also generates transfer activity reports and has greater monitoring capacity to enhance transparency and domestic governance.
“FIFA is aiming at digitizing not only international but also domestic transfers,” said FKF Head of Competitions & TMS Manager Frank Ogolla.
“It is for this reason that FKF has in conjunction with FIFA invited local clubs to take them through this system,” he added.
The workshop has brought together officials from Kenya Premier League, National Super League and Women Premier League clubs. They will be taken through the system’s fundamentals as well as the player transfer process.
The system will be effected in the July 2019 transfer window ahead of the 2019-2020 season kickoff.
