Football Kenya Federation, in partnership with Inmates Premier League (IPL), will from Monday, January 14, 2019, conduct a ten-day coaching course at the Kamiti Prison.

The course, which targets selected inmates at the Maximum Security Prison, will see them taken through basic coaching skills under the tutelage of FKF Instructor Leonard Odipo. They will duly be certified by the Federation’s Technical Department upon completion of the course.

“Inmates have for long been left out of such football activities yet some of them have been involved in football before and can still add value to the game,” said IPL director Joshua Kariuki.

“Through this course, our target is to impact the selected inmates with skills that they can apply in Prison as well as after completion of their sentences,” he added.

IPL holds mini leagues for inmates at the Kamiti and Naivasha prisons.
