Football Kenya Federation Nairobi East Branch officials have on Friday 20, 2019, presided over a pre-season clubs meeting ahead of the new season set to kick off next month.
They were an assortment of topics that were discussed, for instance, the rules and regulations to be followed this season. However, the major burning issue raised by the club representatives in attendance is the issue of referees frustrating away teams in home grounds.
“On the issue of referees, we would like to request for you to deal with it professionally using the policies put in place,” says the Vice Chairman of FKF Nairobi East, George Onyango.
The officials also brought up the issue of fewer referees. They requested the club representatives to help in rallying former players to be trained as referees so as to be able to relieve the burden placed on the current referees.
The club representatives are happy with the meetings the officials have planned for them as it gives them a platform to express their views towards issues that affect them
