Football Kenya Federation president Nick Mwendwa today chaired the last of a series of meetings with members from across the country, aimed at charting a post-COVID-19 return to football plan.
Members from Rift Valley (Elgeyo-Marakwet, Nakuru, West-Pokot, Turkana, Nandi, Baringo, Bomet, Uasin-Gishu, Kericho, Alfred Kirui, Nyandarua, Kajiado and Narok) had a session with the president on Friday.
“We have been briefed about what is expected of us if we are to return to the pitch. We also gave our recommendations on how the protocols can be customized to suit our requirements at the grass-root level,” said Francis Oliele, representing Nakuru County.
Football still stands suspended since March this year, and these recommendations from the members, coupled with directives from the Ministry of Health, will be incorporated in the final return to football formula.
