In a bid to support the newly formed national U17 Football team, Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has waived the entrance fee for the team’s second leg of the second round AFCON qualifiers against Cameroon set for this Saturday, August 20, 2016, at the Kasarani Stadium.

The move by FKF is aimed at rallying fans to turn out in large numbers and support the Rising Stars for the 3pm kick off.

“The match is very important to us despite the huge loss we suffered away in the first leg,” said FKF president Nick Mwendwa.

“But as I have said many times before this is a new team, barely two months old and we are looking to support it to the best of our ability.

“That is why we have decided to waive the entrance fee and let Kenyans from all walks of life come and support what is arguably the future of Kenyan football,” explained the FKF president.

In the first leg, the Rising Stars suffered a huge upset going down 7-0 to Saturday’s visitors, at the Stade de Bafoussam.

Cameroon is scheduled to jet in the country at exactly 6pm local time, today, ahead of the weekend fixture.

In addition, the team is scheduled to undergo a light training session at Kasarani tomorrow, with the exact time to be confirmed once they touch down at JKIA.
