After dropping two points at home to Coast Stima in their debut match of the FKF National Super League, Green Commandoes will be traveling to Naivasha ahead of their second match against Nairobi Stima, slated for Saturday, February 17, 2018.

Commandoes were pegged back by an 85th-minute equalizer by Coast Stima super-sub Collins Kombo in a match the hosts had squandered numerous goal scoring opportunities.

Despite coming up against a formidable opponent in Nairobi Stima, the Kakamega High School side will be hoping to give a good account of themselves.

“We were not able to get a good result (in our first match) despite playing well. Football (however) is a learning process and I am confident we will correct our mistakes in our next match,” said Green Commandoes coach Brenden Mwinamo, following their opening 1-1 draw against Coast Stima at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega.

Stima, meanwhile, will welcome Kisumu All-Stars to the Mbaraki Sports Club in a doubleheader that will also see Modern Coast Rangers face KCB. Both matches have been scheduled for Saturday, February 17, 2018.

Kangemi All-Stars, meanwhile, will be hoping to bounce back from their opening defeat to Bidco United when they travel to the Afraha Stadium to take on Nakuru All Stars. The hosts also lost their opening match 3-1 to Isibania and will be out to make ammends.

At the Sudi Stadium in Bungoma, GFE 105 will host Nakuru based St Joseph Youth while at the Thika sub-county Stadium, Bidco United will be at home to Kibera Black Stars. Both matches have been slated for Saturday starting 3 pm.

Two matches will be aired live on free to air channel Bamba Sports from the Camp Toyoyo grounds on Sunday, February 18, 2018.

Administration Police will be up against Isibania in the first match set to kick off at 2 pm. AP lost 2-0 to Ushuru in their opening match of the campaign and will be looking forward to a swift turn-around of fortunes. Isibania, on the other hand, will not be easy pushovers, especially after their opening 3-1 win over Nakuru All Stars.

The second match will see FC Talanta host Nairobi City Stars starting 4.15 pm. Both teams dropped points in their opening matches of the campaign and will be out for all three points.

Muhoroni Youth will also host Kenya Police at the Muhoroni Grounds on Sunday. The relegated KPL side skipped their opening match against KCB and will be facing a strong challenge in Kenya Police who finished sixth in last years’ edition. Police was held to a barren stalemate by FC Talanta in the opening match of the campaign.

In what promises to be the match of the weekend, Western Stima, relegated from the top tier last season, will host Ushuru, who narrowly missed out on promotion last season. The match has been slated for Sunday at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu. Both teams won their opening matches by an identical 2-0 scoreline.
