Harambee Sand Stars miss out on AFCON

    Kenya’s Harambee Sand Stars were will not be participating in the 2016 Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations set for Lagos, Nigeria on 13–18 December 2016.

    This is after the Kenyan team lost 7-1 to hosts Ghana’s Black Sharks in a reverse tie played on Sunday 18 September in Accra.

    Kenya bowed out 17-4 on aggregate having lost the first leg tie played at Pirates Beach Mombasa on 27August.

    Ghana now joins hosts Nigeria, Morocco, Libya, Egypt, Madagascar, Ivory Coast and Senegal.

    Starters: Hamisi Rajab Chai, Madi Hassan Madi, Mbwana Farid Mbwana, Nassir Fahad Salim, Mohamed Adilahi.

    Reserves: Musa Mohamed Hamisi, Mohamed Said Mohamed, Mohamed Mudhafar Swaleh, Oluoch Alfred Okello, Mwangala Dennis Lewa, Manaseh Daido, Imani Patrick.
