The national women football team, Harambee Starlets, is out if contention for a place in the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations.

This is following a 2-0 loss to Equatorial Guinea in the second leg played on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at the Estadio de Malabo in Equatorial Guinea.

Kenya had earlier on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, come from a goal down to notch a 2-1 win over the West African country in the first leg.

The loss consequently means Kenya will not be gracing the continental showpiece, set to be held in Ghana in November 2018.
