The Kenya Women’s National Team, Harambee Starlets, shared spoils with Zambia in the first leg of their Olympics Qualifier played at the MISC Kasarani on Friday, November 8, 2019. The match ended 2-2.

Zambia began with an early goal at the 12th minute from their forward, Grace Chanda but their team forward, Mwemba Lushomo blundered and bagged a goal for starlets at the 30th minute, sealing the first half.

The second half brought with it steams from both teams but team starlets forward, Vivian Odhiambo was able to maneuver a goal at the 71st minute. The Zambian side, however, did not take long to reply as they scored at the 72nd minute from team forward, Rachael Kundananji.

The two sides will face off in the second leg on Monday, November 11, 2019, with the winner on aggregate set to proceed to the tournament’s fifth and final qualifying round.
