The Kenya National women team, Harambee Starlets, has on Saturday, July 28, 2018, jetted back into the country from Rwanda where the team took part in the 2018 CECAFA Women Championships.

Kenya won one match, drew one and lost two, finishing fourth behind Ethiopia, Uganda and Tanzania, who defended the title having won the 2016 edition in Uganda.

“We are disappointed that we did not get the results we expected despite giving a good account of ourselves,” said Starlets coach David Ouma.

“Going forward, we will do a review of the tourney and build up on the experience,” he added.

Focus now shifts to the ongoing Women Premier League, whose second leg is taking shape.
