Harambee Starlets will face Northern Ireland in their opening match of the Turkish Women Cup on Wednesday, March  4, 2020.

“This tournament is a good platform for me to gauge the competitive side of my players ahead of the upcoming qualifiers,” said coach David Ouma.

“ I am confident that we will post a positive result in the tournament since we had one week to brush through our style of play,” he added.

After the tournament, Starlets will shift their focus towards their match against Tanzania in the Africa Women Cup of Nations Qualifiers in April.

The winner of the first-round tie will face off with either of DR Congo or Sao Tome and Principe in the second and final qualifying round.

Starlets has been pooled in group A alongside Northern Ireland, Chile and Uzbekistan.

The match kicks off at 7 pm EAT.
