The Kenya National Team, Harambee Stars, held its second training session this week on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, as preparations for the team’s camp in France hit top gear.
27 players took part in the session with coach Sebastien Migne noting that it is a positive ingredient to his Africa Cup of Nations and Africa Nations Championships preparations.
“I am happy with the turnout. I have had a chance to assess most of the players in the CHAN squad, which is a positive step in our preparations,” said coach Migne.
The France bound team is scheduled to jet out to Paris, on Friday, May 31, 2019, and has already been booked at the French Rugby Federation, Marcoussis Cedex, where they will hold a 19-day residential camp before flying out to Cairo Egypt, on June 19, 2019.
Football Kenya Federation has also lined up two friendly matches, against Madagascar on June 7, in Paris and the Democratic Republic of Congo a week later, on June 15, 2019, in Madrid, Spain.
Earlier on Monday, the team honored an invitation to the French Embassy in Kenya where they paid a courtesy call to French Ambassador to Kenya, H.E Mrs. Aline KUSTER-MÉNAGER, as they prepare for departure to France.
