Harambee Stars has on Monday, February 8, 2021, kicked off training ahead of the upcoming 2021 AFCON Qualifier back to back matches against Egypt and Togo in March.

The players reported to camp on Sunday and will break camp on Tuesday, so as to be released to their clubs on Wednesday.

24 local-based players took part in the session with Ulinzi’s James Sarun, the Sofapaka duo Michael Kibwage, and Lawrence Juma missing the session due to club assignments in the BetKing Premier League while Gor Mahia’s  Benson Omalla is out on school assignments.

Coach Jacob Mulee noted that the team’s first day of training was a success.

“Today was an exciting first training session as we gauged the players and as the camp progresses we will take our sessions one step at a time and hopefully gunner, a positive result at home,” said coach Mulee.

Stars are set to play Egypt, at home, on March 22, 2020, and Togo, away, on March 30, 2020, in the final rounds of the 2022 AFCON Qualifiers.
