Harambee Stars coach Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee has called up 28 local-based players for non-residential training ahead of the upcoming 2022 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers in March.

Among notable inclusions in the team is KCB goalkeeper Joseph Okoth, AFC Leopards midfielder Collins Shichenje, and KCB’s Nahashon Alembi.

Wazito midfielder Kevin Kimani also makes a return to the national team fold while Tusdker’s on form forward Henry Meja, who featured for the U20 Rising Stars at the CECAFA U20 Championships last year, also gets the nod.

The team kicks off training on Monday, in Nairobi.

Stars play Egypt, at home, on March 22, 2020, and Togo, away, on March 30, 2020, in the final rounds of the 2022 AFCON Qualifiers.

2022 World Cup qualifiers have also been lined up between June and November, this year.
