Gor Mahia has dumped Rwandan side APR out of the CAF Champions League in a 3-1 win on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at the Nyayo Stadium.

K’ogallo needed one goal to be guaranteed of progression to the first round on away goals,  hence they showed intent from the onset with Samuel Onyango’s goal at the 16th minute.

The second half saw Keddy Nsanzimfura’s late goal almost killing Gor Mahia’s hopes of pulling through to the next level, but Sydney Ochieng put K’ogallo back on the map with his goal at the 93rd minute.

Influential forward Nicholas Kipkirui’s on-point header at the 95th minute, sealed APR’s fate in the competition.

Gor Mahia will now face the winner of yet another preliminary round tie pitting Algeria’s CR Belouizdad against Libya’s El Nasr.
