Former Harambee Stars coach Jacob Ghost Mulee has given a thumbs up to Football Kenya Federation’s efforts in training coaches and instructors.

Speaking during the closing ceremony of a Basic/ Advanced coaching course held at the Rusinga School, the renowned coach noted that the gains from the coaching education would be felt in the coming years.

“I am happy because we have trained a lot of coaches in the Federation and I believe in the next four years we will start reaping the benefits of these courses,” said Mulee.

FKF has trained over 3000 coaches in the Basic/Advanced level, as well as the CAF C License level.

The Federation also held a first of its kind course for its Instructors, who are tasked with training the trainers.

These, in a move geared towards not only building capacity in its local coaches but also trying to bridge a skill gap that had denied many coaches job opportunities both at home and abroad.
