Preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifier pitting Kenya against Ghana have officially kicked off with the FKF International Matches Organizing Committee (IMOC) holding its first meeting on Monday, September 3, 2018, at the MISC Kasarani.

The match has been scheduled for Saturday, September 8, 2018, at the MISC Kasarani, starting at 4 pm.

Big Brother Events and Ticketing has been tasked with the event, which will see fans part with kshs 200 to access the stands. VIP tickets will cost Kshs 1000. The tickets will be sold at Kenya Cinema, Opposite Safari Park Hotel, and Kasarani Stadium’s Gate 4 and Gate 12, on matchday starting at 7 am.

The Kenya Police Band will also provide entertainment prior to kickoff.

Coach Sébastien Migné will on Monday afternoon take charge of Harambee Stars’ first training session at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies Grounds. The session will largely involve local-based players, with their foreign-based counterparts set to jet into the country in the course of the week.

Kenya has been pooled in Group F of the AFCON Qualifiers alongside Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Ethiopia. The top two teams in each of the 12 groups are set to gain qualification to the Africa Cup of Nations, set to be held in Cameroon in June 2019.
