Harambee Starlets coach David Ouma has named a provisional squad of 26 players set to report to camp on July 7, 2018, in Nairobi ahead of the 2018 CECAFA Women Championships in Rwanda.

The squad is largely comprised of players who did duty for Kenya in the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Uganda and Equatorial Guinea.

Notable inclusions include Thika Queens Goalkeeper Monica Karambu, Gaspo Youth’s Elizabeth Wambui and Trans Nzoia Falcons’ Martha Amunyolete, who was part of the U20 team in 2017. Midfielder Corazon Aquino, however, has opted out as she has been booked for trials with a top Swedish side.

The five-nation tournament, set to be played in a round-robin format, is scheduled to kick off on July 19, with the final round of matches slated for July 27, 2018 in Kigali, Rwanda.
