The National U15 team has safely arrived in Spain where the team is set to take part in the Mediterranean International Cup (MIC) U16 tournament.

The Junior Stars, who have been in camp on a homeschooling program at Football Kenya Federation’s Center of Excellence, are scheduled to come up against Spanish sides NT Terres, Junior CF, and Eastern FC. The tournament brings together top academies in Europe, some of which the Kenyan youngsters will relish meeting if they go past the group stages.

“This team has been in camp for the better part of this year. We have also played a couple of friendly matches locally, which were aimed at getting the players into a competitive mindset,” said coach David Ouma as the team jetted out.

“The players now have a chance to showcase their talents on a big stage and I am confident that they will give a good account of themselves,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Kenya U17 National team jetted back into the country on Monday, April 15, 2019, from Egypt where the team took part in the Union of North African Federations (UNAF) U18 Tournament.

The team lost four matches in the five-nation tournament which had Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, and Tanzania take part.
