The Kenya U17 Girls team trampled Djibouti 14-0 in their debut CECAFA Challenge Cup match held in Jinja,Uganda on Monday, December 9,2019.

Anna Arusi and Fasila Adhiambo gave Kenya an early lead as they scored in the 17th and 20th minute. Team Forward Viola Khalai bagged another goal at the 25th minute. Fasila Adhiambo added to her list of goals as she bagged one at the 41st minute after forward Lavine Anyango’s  goal at the 38th minute and Viola Khalai’s second goal at the 40th minute, sealing the first half with a 6-0 margin against Djibouti.

In the second half, Djibouti proved to be no match for the Kenyan girls’ team as Anna Arusi bagged her second goal as Viola Khalai made her hat-trick at the 43rd minute.It was not long before forward Fasila Adhiambo joined Viola, as she scored her hat-trick goal at the 52nd minute.Team forward,Viola Khalai, seemed thirsty for goals as she bagged two more goals at the 50th and 53rd minute. Fasila Adhiambo came through with a spectacular goal at the 68th minute as Anna Arusi also made her hat-trick at the 68th minute. Forward Dorine Achieng sealed the game with her goal at the 82nd minute of the game

They now shift their focus to their match against Eritrea which they will play on Wednesday, December 11,2019 at Jinja,Uganda
