The National Women Football team, Harambee Starlets, is set to face Uganda in a 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations Qualifier in fixtures released by CAF on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.

The first leg match has been slated for February 26, 2018, with the second leg match scheduled for March 6, 2018. The winner of the playoff will take on Equatorial Guinea in the second round slated for between April 2 and April 10, 2018.

Kenya made her maiden appearance at the Africa Women Cup of Nations last year, bowing out at the group stage after successive losses to Ghana, Mali, and Nigeria.

The team had gained qualification to the continental showpiece at the expense of Algeria on the away goal rule after a 2-2 draw in Algeria and a 1-1 draw four days later in Nairobi.

Kenya, however, lost 4-0 to hosts Zimbabwe in the semifinals, before further going down 4-2 on post-match penalties to Zambia in the third-place playoff after a 1-1 draw in regulation time

Ahead of the AWCON Qualifiers, Starlets are set to take part in the CECAFA Women Championships slated for November 2017 in Rwanda. Kenya finished second in the last edition held last year in Jinja, Uganda, after a 2-1 loss to Tanzania in the final
