Influential Harambee Stars forward Michael Olunga is out of contention for a place in Kenya’s final squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier against Ghana.

This is following a hamstring injury the forward picked up in their 1-0 win over Albirex Niigata that has since ruled him out for the next three weeks.

In his place, Coach Sébastien Migné has called up Zesco United forward Jesse Were.

The team is set to hit camp on March 17, 2019, in Nairobi, ahead of the Ghana match, slated for March 23, 2019, in Accra.

Kenya has, for the first time in 15 years, qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations, set to be held in Egypt between June 21, and July 19, 2019. The team is set to pitch a 3-week camp in France ahead of the continental showpiece.
