FC Talanta labored to a 3-2 win over fancied Bidco United in the second of a doubleheader staged at Camp Toyoyo on Tuesday, May 1, 2018.

Emmanuel Mogaka had put FC Talanta on the front foot when he got on the end of a perfectly weighted freekick by Sebastian Osodo. Geoffrey Ouma would, however, restore parity in the 36th minute.

FC Talanta, however, showed winning intent, with Paul Karuri punishing an error by Bidco defender Kanamuli Kapilima less than two minutes after the guests had equalized. Emmanuel Mogaka would stretch Talanta’s lead on the hour mark.

Bidco United, ranked second on the NSL log, didn’t seem to lose hope. A red card to Talanta midfielder Sebastian Osodo aroused hopes of a comeback, which was made alive by a goal by Brian Misango three minutes to time.

The hosts would, however, hold on for a fourth win in 14 matches.

Administration Police

Earlier on at the same venue, Administration Police rallied from a goal down to edge out Coast Stima 2-1.

Abbas Muhiddin had given the guests a first-half lead that was canceled out by Robert Jagero on the hour mark.

Kisumu All Stars

At the Moi Stadium in Kisumu, Kenya Police suffered their second defeat of the season at the hands of hosts Kisumu All Stars. The match ended 1-0. The guests had seen their unbeaten run broken at the same venue in round 13.

The win saw Kisumu All Stars rise to third with 25 points from 14 matches. All-Stars are tied on points with second-placed Bidco United, despite having a match in hand.
