Ushuru missed out on a chance to reclaim top spot when they dropped points, for the second time in a row. This is following a 2-1 loss to Nairobi Stima in one of three FKF National Super League matches played on Sunday, August 12, 2018, at the Karuturi Grounds.

The Taxmen were the first on the scoresheet courtesy of a 34th-minute goal from the spot by Barrack Odhiambo. Washington Gichovi would, however, restore parity in the 53rd minute before Brian Musa netted the winner with seven minutes left on the clock.

Following the loss, Ushuru remains second with 52 points in 26 matches, similar to league leaders Western Stima, but with an inferior goal difference. Nairobi Stima meanwhile, is fourth with 49 points, one less than third-placed KCB. Both sides have played 25 matches.

In other matches played on Sunday, Kibera Black Stars was held to a 1-1 draw by Nairobi City Stars at Camp Toyoyo while in Mombasa, visiting Isibania picked up a point from their clash against hosts Coast Stima.
