Vihiga United will be gunning for their third win of the season when they host GFE 105 at the Mumias Sports Complex. The Vihiga County government sponsored side has won both of its first two matches, the most recent being a 0-2 win away to Wazito. Vihiga is up against a formidable GFE 105; the Eldoret-based side is second on the log with three wins in three.
Two matches will be aired live on free to air channel, Bamba Sports, on Sunday 2 April. Talanta will entertain Kenya Police in the first match set to kick off at 2 pm. Thereafter Nairobi City stars will lock horns with debutants Kibera Black Stars at 4.15 pm. Talanta, who had a slow start to their NSL campaign, will be hoping to make it three wins in a row. Kibera Black stars, on the other hand, is in pursuit of their first win of the season. The league debutants have lost three and drawn one of the four matches they have played this season.
Match week 6 will also see Nairobi Stima travel to league debutants Isibania. The Power men were held to a 1-1 draw by Administration Police in their midweek NSL clash. Administration Police will face off with Nakuru-based St Joseph Youth at the Camp Toyoyo. Wazito, who lost to Vihiga United in Midweek, will be on the road to take on Bidco United while Ushuru will be up against on form Modern Coast Rangers. Ushuru tops the league with 10 points, as at match week five, followed closely by GFE 105 and Wazito, both tied at nine points. Wazito, however, has an inferior goal difference of one goal, four less than GFE. Modern Coast Rangers and Palos complete the top five, with eight points apiece. Agro Chemicals, Isibania, MOSCA and Kibera Black Stars are still winless. Black stars and MOSCA have a point apiece, out of the four games they have played this season. Isibania is on two points while Agro has amassed only three.
