Former Kenyan Premier League side Shabana will grace the 2018/2019 FKF National Super League.

This is following a 7-6 win in post-match penalties over Mwatate United in a promotion playoff played on Sunday, October 28, 2018, at the MISC Kasarani.

Shabana had controlled proceedings for the better part of the first half but could not find a way past Mwatate, the first half ending 0-0.

Upon resumption, Shabana would fall behind courtesy of a close range strike by Mwatate forward John Musyoka.

The goal aroused Shabana’s fighting spirit, as they went all out in search for an equalizer. Their efforts would pay off in the 62nd minute when Dennis Nyangwono restored parity off a corner kick by Wycliffe Nyang’echi.

Shabana would go on to seal a nervy win in the penalties, consequently booking a return to the second tier.
