    Kibera Black Stars edged out St Joseph Youth 2-1 in in match week 16 of the FKF National Super League played at Camp Toyoyo today, May 31, 2017, to usher in the mid-season transfer window. Ushuru also beat Nairobi City Stars, with Vihiga United, Nairobi Stima, KCB and Talanta getting maximum points

    The match between Kibera Black Stars and St Joseph was cagey in the first half, but it is Black Stars who opened the scoring through Henry Onyango in the 58th minute after a swift interchange of passes. St Joseph Youth restored parity seven minutes later through Salim Akatha. With five minutes left on the clock, Black Stars got the winning goal through Eric Kinuthia. St Joseph Youth threatened late on but the home side held on for a much-needed win

    At 4.15 pm, Ushuru managed a 2-0 win over Nairobi City Stars. The match was an end to end to end affair in the first half before Ushuru upped the pressure in the second half. Two goals by Kelal Ogal and Patrick Macharia were enough to hand the taxmen maximum points

    Earlier on at the same venue, at 9 am, Vihiga United beat home side MOSCA 3-1 to compound on the latter’s woes. Talanta also registered a win over Bidco United, Eric Kapaito scoring on the half hour mark to send Talanta to 10th place with 22 points from 15 matches

    At the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, KCB got a 2-0 win over Isibania. Simon Munala scored a brace in the 56th and 68th minute, off assists by Samuel Mwangi. KCB is 5th on the log with 31 points. At the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru, Nakuru All Stars was held to a 1-1 draw by Modern Coast Rangers in a match that kicked off at 1 pm. Later at 3 pm, Nairobi Stima edged out hosts Kenya Police 1-3. Nairobi Stima is second on the log 32 points
