The Kenya U20 National team is set to face Burundi in the quarter-finals of the CECAFA U20 Championships scheduled for Sunday, September 28, 2019.

The match will be played at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru, Jinja, starting at 1 pm. Other teams progressing to the quarter-finals are Sudan, South Sudan, Eritrea, Zanzibar, Tanzania, Uganda, and Burundi.

Kenya sealed qualification to the second round following a second-place finish in Group B, behind table toppers Tanzania, whom they had tied with on points and goals, but not on fair play.

The Rising Stars mastered wins against Zanzibar and Ethiopia, and a draw against Tanzania in their group matches played between Sunday, September 22, and Thursday, September 26, 2019.
