The Kenya U20 national team, Rising Stars, has been pooled in Group C of the upcoming CECAFA U20 Championships to be played between November 22, and December 6, 2020, in Tanzania.
The U20 team is set to face stiff competition from Ethiopia and Sudan.
Group A is comprised of hosts Tanzania, Rwanda, Somalia, and Djibouti, while Group B will have Burundi, Eritrea, South Sudan, and Uganda.
The top teams in each of the three groups will proceed to the tournament’s semi-finals, alongside one best runner-up.
The Rising Stars lost in the final of last years’ edition in Uganda and will be looking to better that performance.
Group A: Tanzania (Host), Rwanda, Somalia
Group B: Burundi, Eritrea, South Sudan, Uganda
Group C: Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan
