The second round of a FIFA Member Association (M.A) Instructors Course has on Monday, December 16, 2019, kicked off at the Kenya Institute of Special Education.

Drawn different branches across the country, the participants will then be tasked with passing on the knowledge to coaches who will be selected to undertake the Basic/Advanced Coaching Course next year.

“We have a rare chance to learn, and then pass on this information to the grassroots coaches,” said former Harambee Stars forward Peter Dawo, who currently serves as an FKF Instructor.

This course comes after yet another five-day exercise that saw 30 CAF C License Instructors taken through the training last week.

During its closing ceremony on Friday, FKF President Nick Mwendwa reiterated the Federation’s commitment to coaching education as an ingredient to football development.

“As a Federation, we are committed to capacity building of our coaches, this in a bid to ensure that our players at the grassroots are handled by qualified personnel,” he said.

The course is being held under the tutelage of UEFA Pro Instructor Erich Rutenmoeller.
