St Joseph Youth edged out Modern Coast Rangers 0-1 at the Mbaraki Sports Club while Wazito dispatched rivals Nairobi Stima in FKF National Super league matches played on Friday, October 6 and Saturday, October 7, 2017.

St Joseph Youth carried on their fine run with a third win in a row, this time away to Modern Coast Rangers. The win comes after successive wins over Administration Police and Nairobi Stima, both at the Araha Stadium. St Joseph has since risen to 15th with 26 points from 28 matches.

On Saturday at Camp Toyoyo, Wazito also managed a third win in a row, edging out Nairobi Stima 2-0. Dennis Gicheru and Kennedy Ayako were on target for Wazito. The win consequently takes Wazito level on points with Nairobi Stima (56 points). Stima have a superior goal difference.

Earlier, in a match preceding the Wazito-Nairobi Stima clash, KCB edged out MOSCA 1-0. Chrispinus Onyango scored the lone goal that would ensure the bankers are within touching distance of league leaders Vihiga United. Vihiga is only a point above KCB and has played a game more

Ushuru also kept the pressure on leaders Vihiga United and second-placed KCB with a 2-1 win over Nakuru AllStars at Afraha. AllStars defender Teddy Siwa had a bad day in office, scoring two own goals. Joseph Chege grabbed a consolation for All-Stars. Ushuru is third on the log with 60 points, two points shy of Vihiga. Ushuru have however played a game less

    Vihiga United

Meanwhile, league leaders Vihiga United got back to winning ways, brushing aside Kenya Police 3-0 in Naivasha. Clyde Senaji, Rashid Kyambadde, and Patrick Okullo were on target for Vihiga. The win was enough to keep them at the summit. Second-placed KCB and third-placed Ushuru, however, each has a game in hand over Vihiga

Isibania held GFE 105 to a 0-0 stalemate in Eldoret while in Muhoroni, the match between Administration Police and Agro Chemical was prematurely called off. A decision on the outcome of the match will be made in due course
