The Kenya National team failed to pick up maximum points when the went down 1-0 to Ethiopia in their third match of the CECAFA Women Championships played on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at the Stade Regional Nyamirambo in Kigali, Rwanda.

Meselu Abera scored Lucy’s lone goal of the match in the 30th minute off a direct freekick that Starlets goalkeeper Poline Atieno failed to keep out.

Starlets are consequently out of contention for the regional title after picking up a point from three matches but will be looking to give a good account of themselves when they face hosts Rwanda in the final match of the five-nation tournament on Friday, July 27, 2018.
