Thika Queens kept on their perfect record in the 2018 edition of the FKF Women Premier League with yet another win over Soccer Queens in a match played on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at the Gikambura Grounds.

Harambee Starlets influential forward Mwanahalima Adam found the back of the net twice, to add onto a goal apiece by Catherine Wangechi, Rachael Muema, Mercy Achieng and Christine Kitaru for a 6-0 scoreline.

The win was Thika’s 12th this season from a similar number of matches, consequently propelling them to 36 points.

Second-placed Vihiga Queens, meanwhile, cut down the gap between them and the league leaders to three points, albeit with a game in hand. This is following back to back wins over Wadadia (7-1) and Kayole Starlets (6-1) on Wednesday, June 13, and Sunday, June 17, 2018, at the Mumias Sports Complex.

The defending champions thus trail Thika Queens by three points, having raked in 33 points from 13 matches.

Gaspo Youth, third on the 16-team unified league, also took home all three points from a 7-0 win over Kisumu All Starlets while Eldoret Falcons forfeited two matches against Mathare United Women and Spedag FC to see them drop to fifth.
