Thika Queens and Trans Nzoia Falcons registered identical 7-1 wins over Wadadia and Vihiga Leeds respectively as the FKF Women Premier League entered its second round on Saturday, March 9, 2019.

Falcons beat Wadadia at the Mumias Sports Complex, the rout courtesy of goals by Martha Karani (hattrick), Susan Muhonja, Sharon Mato (brace), and Valentine Cheron. Velma Isambo scored Leeds’ consolation.

Thika Queens, on the other hand, triumphed over Wadadia at the Thika Stadium. Catherine Wangechi (brace), Rachael Muema (brace), Lucy Khumba, Fauzia Mar, and Mwanahalima Adam netted for Thika Queens while Mercy Anyango scored Wadadia’s consolation.

Eldoret Falcons, meanwhile, fell at home to Kisumu All Starlets. Mary Airo and Bertha Adhiambo each scored a brace, with Ruth Ingosi netting the hosts’ consolation.

Five more matches will be played on Sunday to wind up round two.
