Thika Queens surrendered all three points, for the first time this season, at the hands of Trans Nzoia Falcons in a Women Premier League match played on June 23, 2018, at the Thika Stadium.

A 50th-minute strike by Martha Karani was enough to see the Kitale based side take home all three points from the league leaders, who had gone for 13 matches without dropping a point.

Second-placed Vihiga Queens, who edged out Oserian Ladies 1-0 on the same day, have consequently caught up with Thika Queens. Both sides are tied at 39 points apiece, with Thika Queens boasting of a superior goal difference and a game in hand.

On Sunday, Gaspo Youth ran over visiting Wadadia at the Ruiru Grounds. The match ended 7-1.

Mary Kinuthia, Elizabeth Wambui (hattrick), Esther Nandika, Evaline Naliaka (brace), Sheryl Angachi were on target for the hosts with Ruth Kurgat netting the guests’ consolation.
