National U20 Women team kicks off preparations for Ghana tie

The National U20 Women team has commenced preparations for the upcoming first round tie against Ghana scheduled for between November 3 and November 5, 2017, in Accra.

The team reported to camp on Saturday, October 21, 2017, and has since held three training sessions on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, October 24, 2017.

Of the 30 players called up ahead of the tie, 17 have reported to camp, with the rest set to check in in the course of the week.

Seven players who played a part in the second-round tie against Ethiopia in September will not make the Ghana trip as they are set to sit their end year KCSE exams.

The seven are Sheryl Angachi, Cynthia Shilwatso, Maureen Khakasa, Cynthia Akinyi, Sharon Adhiambo, Mercy Airo and Vivian Nasaka.
